Day 1: 6th May - Arrival in Bhutan (Paro to Thimphu)

Welcome to the Land of the Thunder Dragon! Upon arriving at Paro International Airport, our friendly guides will greet us and accompany us throughout this journey. As we drive to Thimphu, feel free to chat with them about all things Bhutan—they are our key to understanding this magical land.

On arrival, we shall visit Buddha Point, home to the largest sitting Buddha, overlooking the Thimphu Valley. After offering prayers, we head to our property. A cozy retreat in the forest where we shall settle for the next two nights.

Enjoy a warm Bhutanese dinner around the bonfire as we get to know each other and soak in the serene surroundings.

Day 2: 7th May - A Day of Exploration and Connection in Thimphu

We begin the day with an easy morning hike to Wangditshe Temple, a beautifully restored gem offering panoramic views of Thimphu. We head to our picnic campsite to get ready for a delightful cooking session where we’ll prepare Kewa Datshi on a traditional mud stove and enjoy it for lunch.

The afternoon is filled with fun! Try your hand at fishing in the river, or archery—the national sport of Bhutan. This is a day to unplug, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and connect with nature. As evening falls, enjoy live music by local artists under the stars.

Day 3: 8th May - Discovering Thimphu’s Charm

Today, we dive into Bhutan’s culture and creativity. Start with a visit to the Bhutan Post Museum, where we can design our own custom stamp!

Post lunch, we visit Kelzang Textiles, a 30-year-old family-run venture where we learn the art of natural dyeing and weaving, a true reflection of Bhutanese craftsmanship.

Day 4: 9th May - Journey to the Mystical Haa Valley

We depart early for Haa Valley, driving through picturesque villages and lush landscapes. En route, we cross Chelela Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan at 3988m, offering breathtaking views.

In Haa, explore the mystical Lhakhang Narpo (Black Temple) and Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple), where ancient rituals are performed by monks. Participate in the ceremonies, learn about Bhutan’s spiritual traditions, and spend the night surrounded by the valley’s tranquility.

Day 5: 10th May - From Haa to Paro

After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a morning walk through local farm roads, meeting the welcoming people of Haa. Then, we drive to Paro, where lunch awaits us at a charming spot in town.

The afternoon brings a creative twist with a visit to the Mandala Art Center, where we shall create our own Mandala, reflecting the impermanence of life in Buddhism.

Day 6: 11th May - The Iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

Our final adventure takes us to the breathtaking Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliffside at 10,000 feet. This sacred site, reached via a scenic hike, is a highlight of any Bhutan trip. Ponies are available to assist you to the halfway point.

After returning, soothe our muscles with a traditional hot stone bath or a relaxing spa session. We close the journey with a memorable farewell dinner accompanied by a live band performance, celebrating the moments we’ve shared.

Day 7: 12th May - Departure

As we bid farewell to Bhutan, the vehicles shall transfer us to Paro Airport, where we part with a fond Tashi Delek.
